Seller Terms & Conditions

The rules, responsibilities and protections that govern every seller on the CHOICE marketplace.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By submitting a seller application, creating a seller account, or listing any product on the CHOICE marketplace (choice.com.bd and its partner surfaces), you agree to be bound by these Seller Terms & Conditions, the Privacy Policy, and the Seller / Affiliate Agreement.

If you do not accept these terms in full, you must not submit an application or use any CHOICE seller service. CHOICE may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email and take effect fourteen (14) days after notice.

2. Eligibility & Account Registration

Sellers must be at least 18 years old and operate a legally recognised business or individual proprietorship in Bangladesh. You are responsible for the accuracy of every detail submitted in your application, including brand name, contact information, category and banking details.

You are solely responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential. Any activity taking place through your account is deemed to be authorised by you unless you have notified CHOICE in writing.

3. Commission Policy

Marketplace commission is service-based and confirmed by the CHOICE team at approval. The published structure is:

  • Self Product Management + Self Delivery — 15%
  • Self Product Management + CHOICE Delivery — 18%
  • CHOICE Product Management + Self Delivery — 20%
  • CHOICE Product Management + CHOICE Delivery — 25%
  • Exclusive Brand Partnership — Custom, 25–30%

Every newly approved seller receives 30 days of 0% marketplace commission starting on the approval date. When the promotional period ends, your commission automatically changes to the rate assigned by the CHOICE team. Commission is deducted from the gross product value of each order at the time of settlement.

4. Delivery Responsibilities

If you select Self Delivery, you must dispatch every confirmed order within 48 hours and share tracking information through the seller dashboard. Damages, losses or delivery failures are your responsibility.

If you select CHOICE Delivery, CHOICE will pick up, transport and deliver orders nationwide. Products must be packaged securely and made available for pickup within 24 hours of order confirmation. CHOICE assumes liability from the moment the parcel is scanned into our custody.

5. Refund Policy

Customers may request a refund within seven (7) days of delivery for defective, damaged, wrong or materially misrepresented items. Approved refunds are deducted from the seller's upcoming payout.

Change-of-mind returns are handled at CHOICE's discretion and may be offered as store credit rather than a monetary refund.

6. Return Handling

Returned items are inspected on arrival. If the return is caused by seller error (wrong item, damage before dispatch, quality issue), the seller bears the reverse logistics cost. If the return is caused by a customer or courier error, CHOICE bears the cost.

7. Payment Schedule

Payouts are released weekly for orders that have been delivered and passed the 7-day return window. Funds are sent to the bank account or mobile wallet registered in your seller profile.

CHOICE may hold funds for review in cases of suspected fraud, chargebacks, or investigation into policy violations.

8. Seller Obligations

Sellers must:

  • List only authentic products you are legally entitled to sell.
  • Maintain accurate stock, price and description information.
  • Respond to customer messages within 24 hours on business days.
  • Comply with all applicable laws, including VAT and consumer protection rules.

9. Prohibited Activities

Sellers may not:

  • List counterfeit, illegal, hazardous or restricted goods.
  • Manipulate ratings, reviews, orders or search rankings.
  • Contact customers to complete transactions outside the CHOICE platform.
  • Use any automated system to access, scrape or overload CHOICE services without written permission.

10. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of your brand assets, product photography and copy. By listing on CHOICE, you grant CHOICE a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, reproduce and promote those assets across CHOICE channels for the purpose of selling your products.

11. Suspension & Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement with 30 days' written notice. CHOICE may suspend or terminate an account immediately for material breach, fraud, or repeated policy violations. Outstanding orders must be fulfilled and pending payouts will be released after the standard settlement cycle.

12. Dispute Resolution

These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. Disputes shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith mediation. Unresolved disputes shall be referred to arbitration in Dhaka under the Arbitration Act, 2001.
